Age Limits : 

  • Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Backward Class Muslims, Backward Classes, MBC/DNC and DW of all castes – Upto 58 years old may apply
  • For All Others – Upto 53 years old may apply

Essential Qualification Details : 

  • (a) Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known); or (or)  
  • Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002;  (or)  
  • Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) (or)
  • Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2- years Diploma in Education (Special Education);  (or)  
  • Graduation & 2-years Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known);  and  
  • (b)Applicants Passed in the Tamilnadu Teacher Eligibility Test (TNTET) Paper – I

  • Secondary Grade Teachers (SGT) – Rs.20600/- to Rs.75900/- (Level –10)
