HVF Avadi Recruitment 2023 :    The Heavy Vehicles Factory (HVF) is a major Indian manufacturer of military vehicles and tanks. It is located in Avadi, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, and is a unit of Ordnance Factories Board, which is an industrial organization functioning under the Indian Ministry of Defence. 

HVF was established in 1965 to produce tanks and other heavy vehicles for the Indian Army. Over the years, it has expanded its product range to include armored recovery vehicles, bridge-laying vehicles, and other military equipment. HVF has also been involved in the production of civilian products such as earthmoving equipment and railway wagons.  

Some of the notable products of HVF include the Arjun main battle tank, the Vijayanta main battle tank, and the T-72 Ajeya main battle tank. HVF has also played a key role in the modernization and up-gradation of the Indian Army’s armored fleet.  

HVF has been recognized with numerous awards for its contributions to the defense industry, including the Raksha Mantri’s Award for Excellence in 2016.

Essential Qualification Details : 

  • Non ITI – Should have Passed Madhyamik (class X std or equivalent) as on date of notification for applying with minimum 50% marks as per criteria of that Board. (as per their Marksheet) and with minimum 40% marks in Mathematics and Science each.  
  • EX ITI – Should have passed relevant trade test from any institute recognized by NCVT or SCVT or any other authority specified through Gazette notification of Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship/Ministry of Labour and Employment with duration as per the Apprentice Act 1961 with minimum 50% marks. The relevant trade to be considered will be strictly on the basis of Schedule I of Apprentice Act 1961 (and amendments thereof). 2. In addition, candidate must have passed Madhyamik / Class X std or equivalent (Minimum 50% marks in Matriculate / Class X std).

  • NON-ITI(Matriculation/ Xth Class) – For Ist year ₹ 6000 and IInd year ₹ 6600
