NHSRCL Recruitment 2023 :   The National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) is a special purpose vehicle (SPV) established by the Government of India to implement the country’s first high-speed rail project, the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail Corridor (MAHSR).  

The NHSRCL was incorporated on 12th February 2016 under the Companies Act, 2013 with an authorized share capital of INR 20,000 crore (approximately $2.7 billion). Its primary objective is to implement the MAHSR project and undertake other high-speed rail projects in the country.  

The MAHSR project aims to connect the cities of Mumbai and Ahmedabad through a 508 km-long high-speed rail corridor, with a maximum operating speed of 350 km/h. The project is being implemented with technical and financial assistance from the Government of Japan, which has extensive experience in high-speed rail technology.  

The NHSRCL is responsible for the planning, design, construction, and operation of the MAHSR project. It is also tasked with engaging with stakeholders, including state governments, local authorities, and the public, to ensure that the project is implemented in a transparent and inclusive manner.  

The MAHSR project is expected to provide a safe, comfortable, and environmentally friendly mode of transportation between Mumbai and Ahmedabad, and is expected to reduce travel time between the two cities from the current 7-8 hours to just 2-3 hours.
